Our Story
Our story is both new and ancient. For over 5,000 years, families across India, including mine, have practiced Ayurveda, a natural wellness system that supports the body with natural botanicals and mindful rituals. I grew up with these practices, not fully aware of their impact until I searched for modern, truly clean, and high-performance hair and skin care, and found nothing that met those standards.
ASNA was born.
And it evolved, expanding to a broader community when I met my husband, Robert. He brought a completely different texture and hair story. Asna became a bridge, connecting cultures and needs, proving that beauty rooted in Ayurveda is for all.
Today, ASNA is our shared story, rooted in heritage and designed for modern life. We develop clean formulas with certified organic, cold-pressed botanicals to preserve potency and pair them with science-backed performance and rigorous standards so every product is benefit-forward, ethically produced, and made for all.
What began as a search for what we could not find has become a trusted resource, bringing the beauty of Ayurveda to more people, with integrity, inclusivity, and real results.
The Alma FarmsWhere it Starts
Some of our earliest memories are walking through rows of Amla trees with my mother during the first harvest of the season. She would gently pick each fruit at peak ripeness, sharing stories passed down from her mother about the power of Ayurvedic remedies.
Later, she would massage our family’s handcrafted Amla oil into my scalp, carefully braiding my hair into pigtails—a ritual of care, connection, and nourishment that still grounds me today.

Raised between the U.S. and India, Monica grew up immersed in Ayurveda’s holistic rituals and modern life’s fast pace. This dual perspective shaped her deep respect for natural wellness and mindful living.
While navigating the beauty world in Manhattan, she saw a gap—products that lacked authenticity and strayed from Ayurvedic roots.
Monica founded Asna Beauty to bridge that gap, creating clean, science-backed formulas rooted in Ayurvedic wisdom. Asna reflects her vision: balancing tradition and innovation, purity and performance, self-care and sustainability.
